One noteworthy public relations project was a nationwide philanthropic college scholarship program for high school scholar-athletes with asthma. Developed for Schering-Plough, the “Will to Win” initiative began as a modest program and grew into a high-profile, annual goodwill campaign that generated significant media coverage for the pharmaceutical. This included over 500 print articles annually as well as multiple apearances on NBC’s Weekend Today, CBS’s Early Show and ABC’s Good Morning America.

Marianne has also produced a variety of business meetings and events. In addition to press conferences, she spearheaded a number of meetings for Con Edison. Chief among them was an important live, off-site meeting for Con Edison’s Westchester Division, which for the the first time brought together under one roof both union and management employees—an audience of approxately 1,000—to learn about deregulation of the energy industry. As executive producer, Marianne developed the meeting theme, agenda, and video presentations, helped craft executive speeches, hired and supervised the A/V crew, and ran the show.

As a writer, Marianne has written for a diverse client base over the years including recognized names like Fujifilm, Investors Bank, Oppenheimer Management, Panasonic and Ricoh Copiers, to name just a few. Her experience spans many industries and the materials she has penned include advertising, editorial/articles, promotional materials, branding brochures, newsletters, employee communicatons, website copy, fundraising materials, press releases, and social media.

One of her favorite areas of expertise is speechwriting. In recent years, Marianne has written over 20 speeches for the CEO of Investors Bank, including a commencement address that he delivered to the Rutgers Business School MBA Class of 2013.

Marianne is also the co-author of a book about a New York City historic house, The Luxembourg House on Beekman Place: Three Portraits in Time. The book guides the reader through this former home of James Forrestal and later Irving Berlin, and its current role as home to the Consulate General of Luxembourg in New York.

In addition to working as an independent contractor, Marianne has held both creative and new business development positions in advertising agencies and production companies, and also served for eight years as chief editor of a business-to-business media brand, Imaging Economics. Marianne holds two master’s degrees, an MA in English from New York University and an MFA in Acting from The Actors Studio Drama School at New School University.
